NUCLEAR SHOWDOWN: UN Watchdog Demands Iran Immediately Reveal Size Of Enriched Uranium Stockpile

The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has passed a resolution demanding that Iran urgently disclose how much enriched uranium it currently possesses and grant inspectors full access to the materials needed to verify its declarations.

According to reports, the resolution passed by a vote of 21 countries in favor, three opposed, and ten abstaining.

The measure calls on Tehran to provide the IAEA with complete information regarding its enriched uranium inventory and allow international inspectors to independently verify the data.

Iran swiftly condemned the decision.

In a statement, Iran’s delegation to the United Nations accused the agency of acting politically rather than professionally.

“How can anyone trust the IAEA when it is controlled by warmongers?” the Iranian delegation said.

The development comes amid renewed diplomatic efforts between Washington and Tehran aimed at reaching a broader agreement over Iran’s nuclear program.

According to a report published by The New York Times, negotiators have made progress on several key issues in the ongoing talks.

Among the primary points of discussion is the future of Iran’s uranium enrichment program. The Trump administration is reportedly demanding a suspension of enrichment activities for at least 20 years, while Iran has proposed a 10-year period.

Diplomatic sources cited in the report say negotiators are increasingly discussing a compromise that would freeze enrichment activities for approximately 15 years.
