CENTCOM: U.S. Disables Third Oil Tanker This Week For Violating Iran Blockade In Gulf Of Oman

CENTCOM: U.S. forces disabled an oil tanker in the Gulf of Oman late Wednesday night after the vessel allegedly violated2 the blockade against Iran by attempting to transport Iranian oil.

According to CENTCOM, the Guinea-Bissau-flagged M/T Jalveer repeatedly failed to comply with directions from U.S. forces. A U.S. aircraft fired two Hellfire missiles into the ship’s engine room, disabling the vessel. CENTCOM said it was the third commercial ship disabled by American forces this week.
