Prosecution Concludes Nearly Year-Long Cross-Examination of Netanyahu in Corruption Trial

The prosecution on Tuesday concluded its cross-examination of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in the ongoing corruption trial, bringing nearly a year of questioning to an end.

• During testimony in Case 2000, Netanyahu clashed with prosecutor Yehonatan Tadmor after being confronted with what the prosecution described as changes in his account of conversations with Ynet publisher Arnon (Noni) Mozes.

• Netanyahu accused investigators of conducting a political campaign against him, alleging the use of spyware and claiming authorities had violated the law in an effort to remove a sitting prime minister.

• Netanyahu maintained that his discussions with Mozes centered on reaching an understanding regarding a softened version of the Israel Hayom Law, insisting he was not misleading Mozes and hoped an agreement could eventually be reached after the elections.
