While officials in Betar, Yerushalayim and Elad announced they have assigned all high school girls to schools, the Ministry of Education on Monday morning 16 Elul had a different report.
Actually, according to the ministry on Monday morning, 21 girls in Yerushalayim, 13 in Elad and 40 in Betar, all Sephardim, have yet to be assigned a school. The figures from the ministry contradict the statements from school officials and others. Ministry officials� promise to continue monitoring the situation to make certain every child is placed in an appropriate school.
