Emergency personnel are on the scene where one person has been stabbed. The victim is reportedly a policeman.

The terrorist has been apprehended. There are conflicting reports if he was shot and killed, or just shot and taken into custody.

The policeman�is reportedly conscious and has been transported to HaEmek Hospital.

The terrorist was apprehended by pedestrians in the area.

19:39: The policeman was stabbed in his abdomen and is reported in moderate condition. The attacker is in a local police station. He is being protected from an angry mob that tried to lynch him following the attack.

19:44: A number of bystanders were hit with pepper spray used by pedestrians in their effort to apprehend the terrorist. A senior MDA official in Afula reports the soldier was stabbed twice in his chest.

19:49: The wounded policeman is in emergency surgery, not listed in moderate-to-serious condition.
