HaGaon HaRav Shmuel Auerbach Shlita has called for protests around the country on Thursday evening 4 Shevat at 19:00. The call to take to the streets follows the arrests of three bnei torah this week for their alleged involvement in the campaign against chardakim.
Rav Auerbach maintains a hardline hashkafa vis-à-vis the IDF draft, instructing his talmidim not to cooperate with military authorities in any way, not even a minimal act.
Protests of members and supporters of the Yerushalmi faction are expected on Thursday evening in Yerushalayim, Beit Shemesh, Bnei Brak, Ashdod, and Modi’in Illit.
The suspect who were arrested earlier this week, two from Bnei Brak and one from Modi’in Illit, have been remanded and will remain in jail at least until Sunday.
