An NYPD Officer has shot an armed man on Tinton Avenue in the Bronx, Monday afternoon.

The incident happened around 4:00PM, at 1071 Tinton Avenue between East 165th Street and East 166th Street in the Morrisania section of the Bronx.

The NYPD said that a male was shot in the arm by an officer, and that a gun has been recovered at the scene.

The suspect was transported to Lincoln Medical Center and is reportedly in stable condition.
