MK (Arab Bloc) Ahmed Tibi has announced that if the flag bill is voted into law, he will transgress the law as he does not plan to comply with a law that demands the presence of an Israeli flag at events attended by a Member of Knesset.
He announced “the political process [between Israel and the PA (Palestinian Authority)] is like a dead corpse and our social fabric unravels as Israel leads OECD (Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development) nations in poverty and there is one thing coalition members are good in; cheap populism and sowing hatred and in this case, the proposal is ridiculous and I announce openly I will break this law”.
According to a Channel 10 report, other members of the Arab Bloc including MK Yousef Jabareen concurred, explaining “The Israeli flag is symbol of the nationalist-Jewish identity exclusively and it is understandable that Arab citizens do not identity with it”.
He added “compelling the lag on Arab MKs at all of their functions contradicts freedom of expression and freedom of conscience and significantly challenges their activities. In a democratic nation the flag is a symbol for all citizens but the State of Israel has failed for seventy year to adopt a symbol common to all its citizens”.

to # 2 Don’t Jews in European countries hang up flags even though most of them have a cross on them? The problem here is that the Arabs don’t accept Israel as a Jewish state. which is why they should leave, and there are 23 Arab states for them to choose from. But they won’t have the freedom and good life in those countries that they have here.
