Iran: We’ll Fire Missiles On Tel Aviv If Attacked; Sanctions Won’t Halt Nuclear Program

Addressing reports of an imminent Israeli strike against Irans nuclear facilities, Irans Ayatollah Ali Khamenei released a statement that if Tehran is attacked, it will fire missiles into the heart of Tel Aviv, rejecting criticism by Irans opponents, explaining the world appear unable to come to terms with the progress in Irans nuclear program.

Despite talk of crippling economic sanctions by the United States and other Western nations, accompanied by speculation of an imminent Israeli assault against Iran, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad remains defiant of any and all calls to halt the nations nuclear program and increasing number of nuclear enrichment facilities.

Meanwhile, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Ramin Mehmanparast stated in a weekly press conference that sanctions against his country will not have an impact on the ongoing nuclear enrichment program. He stated we dont find them a deterrent and the more sanctions; the more determined we will be to pursue our rights.

Despite Western reports of possible crippling economic sanctions against Iran, Tehran does not appear to be willing to back down and comply with US demands, insisting the nuclear program is for electricity, not for weapons as claimed by the international community.

  1. The headline statement seems right out of the Saddam Hussein book on how to be a pain in the neck to the world. Why do they not take achmadoginajad’s statements as unworthy of any world leader, and act accordingly.
