Woodridge, NY: Heavy Flooding Reported – People Trapped In Village Park Bungalows

5:30PM (Sunday): There is heavy flooding reported in the Village of Woodridge, following the heavy rains, Sunday afternoon. The Woodridge Fire Department is responding to many calls for help from people stuck in flooded areas.

One of the worst areas is Tabaczynski Road, at Village Park Bungalow Colony. Woodridge FD is requesting “all available manpower” to respond and assist as the Neversink River continues rising, and people are trapped.

As of this report, Hatzolah has not been called, and no injuries have been reported.

As previously reported by YWN Catskills, severe rains were predicted to hit the area, with a Flash Flood warning issued.

  1. The photo accompanying this fascinating article begs a question: if there is no mitzvah to come in out of the rain, should a Jew remain outside in torrential rain? Or did Hashem expect all of us to figure out what to do in heavy rain?
