PHOTOS: Hakomas Matzeiva of Holtzberg Kedoshim

6.jpg(PHOTO LINK BELOW) Family and close friends gathered on Har Hazeisim for a somber Hakomas Matzeiva for the Chabad Shluchim from Mumbai, Rabbi Gavriel Noach and Rivky Holtzberg HY”D.

Their double matzeva is an unusual sight, expressing more than any words, “even in their death they were not divided”, but, as a family member explained to Chabad news website Shturem, nothing is usual in this tragedy. “They spent their lives together, were murdered together, buried together, and now have a common matzevo.”

The extended Holtzberg and Rosenberg families huddled around the graves as Thillim and Mishnayos were recited.

Tens of thousands of good resolutions, taken during the shiva and at memorial gatherings all over the world, were placed on the graves. Rabbi Shimon Rosenberg spoke very emotionally about the great and unprecedented Kiddush Hashem that they made, in life and death.

Rabbis Holtzberg and Rosenberg prayed for little Moishe Tzvi, sheyichye, to raise him to be a Chossid, yerai shomayim and a lamdan, “just like his father wished and would have done.” “It is not normal and unusual for grandparents to bring up a grandchild, but we will do all we can to raise you to be the Rebbe’s Shliach in Bombay.”

The unveiling concluded with Kel Moleh Rachamin rendered by Rabbi Rosenberg, with all the assembled brought to tears hearing him say: “es nishmos yaldeinu hakdoshim haShluchim..”
