I just received this message from a Moderator.

Michaelc, my you sure are persistent. Apparently you aren’t getting

the message. Certain topics and words are not appropriate for a mixed audience, even when they are Divrei Torah.

Please cease submitting such articles. And if they are deleted do not keep reposting them. They were deleted for a reason and not accidentally. Thank you.

how about 9 year old girls reading it? (we have them here)

Two thumbs up Mod- If I was moderator the cr would look like a ghost town.

    Michael

you are of course free to have whatever ideas you wish

but when it comes to what is posted here, the moderators will decide.

in extreme cases they will also decide who posts here. its up to you

    Its quite ironical…..

I’m the only person learning in the Beis Hamedrash….

I tirelessly translate Torah from Sefarim

    Then I get kicked out

Sounds like Ikva De Meshicha to me

MichaelC: I’ve been reading your Divrei Torah. Please continue posting them, even if there is this limitation.

I intentional used expression from Artscroll when dealing with personal subjects—I tried to be as clean as possible, whilst not being to ambiguous to my audience—

My aim was to teach Torah to Yisroel

Rabbi Moshe Feinstein says a person is Chayav to learn all of Shas

MichaelC – At least you got an email (i assume it was via email) from the mods. i tried contacting them a few times but never once got an email from them.

Mods: hint hint – (yes i know ur all very busy and can’t answer everyone)

k – so how ’bout mixed graduations if not mixed audience for divrei Torah? jk – not going there again.

instead i think i’ll go pick up a Ben Yehoyada – again jk

MichalC – “Torah is Torah” we get ur point, point, point 🙂

Sure does. The world is a topsy-turvy place when a supposed “ben Torah” cannot differntiate between what is appropriate for a public audience and what is not. If you would like to learn that inyan (whatever it is) with your wife, that is your choice. Don’t bring it here.

    MichaelC:

Since you have the advantage of knowing a lot of Torah, and spending so much time learning, it would be very nice if you could share some of it here in a way that is acceptable. I know you don’t agree with the moderators, but you can’t change what they do. If you fight with them you keep Torah from other people.

There is an infinite amount of Torah to share and I am sure you can find things to share here that are completely kosher in this environment. If you act as you have been you not only don’t share any Torah, you destroy the peace and friendship in here as people take sides. You cause strong language to be used where none would need to be used.

Can’t you show us Torah that *will* be allowed?

i’m not a ben Torah, and I don’t have a wife, i just aim to make the ‘World full of knowledge like the sea’ (Yishayahu)

I heard a shiur on Shabbos by the cleverest rabbi in our town……..he said nowadays EVERY yid (man and woman) should learn ALL Torah

There takes a certain amount of wisdom to know what to say, when to say it and where to say it.

We are not questioning the validity of your posts, just how it fits with the above three questions. And NO just because it is Torah does not mean it automatically satisfies those three questions.

Micheal – Hilchos t’harah is also torah, but I don’t take my teenage son to the shiur.

And if you’re not a “ben torah”, who are you looking for the CR? Converts? Do yourself a favor.. look elsewhere.
