how did you find it
By looking up old posts of “Bar Shattya”.
“popa_bar_abba” (almost) always had comments in the same thread, and a couple of times he responded to “methinks”.
“methinks” wasn’t found, but “me-thinks” was.
The hit on “me-thinks” revealed the rest of the SN.

yes, that was a mod comment and a play on the adorable stuff. I have confirmed that popa_bar_abba is not Bar Shatya nor is he Abba bar Aristotle. They are 3 different people who are related to each other. It is now bain hazmanim and all the adoorable boys are home from yeshiva posting together. If u look at his history u will notice that Bar Shatya mostly posts during bain hazmanim

Having similar senses of humor can be traced to genetics. We do share some grandparents.

He’s a really smart and funny guy and his hasmoda is far beyond my own.
Regardless of who it is, I expect (hope?) he didn’t intend to be quite as hurtful as he was, and what was intended as a joke went too far.

that might be correct now however at joe’s infancy no one knew he had different screen names and thought Joe was normal (at least pba normal :P) his subtitle was even a little far to the right (as opposed to a little over the top), it wasn’t until the mods uncovered him did we start to feel concerned and duped

haleivi: I think recognizing style is more reliable than knowing IPs.
i was a lurker at the time, but was surprised when the ruffruffs got blocked, being they were very evidently a distinct personality. Unless someone is *very* good at it, I don’t think he can keep up multiple user name with different natures. A person is what he is.
Bar Shattya: congrats on the subtitle. Wonderful!

Your responsibly here, by its very nature, forces you to be more suspicious that an onlooker (i.e. moi) might be, and even more so if one factors in all the rejected posts you see.

No that was not pba impersonating a mod, it was Mod-42 impersonating himself. And thank you Mod 80 for admitting to it. Sorry for all the trouble last night. I should have posted in my own post rather than as an edit that might look like an impersonation.
