Who started the most Successful threads?
By “Most Successful” I mean a thread that carried on for a while, sparked excited conversation, i.e. Who is it that when you see hisher name starting a thread, do you think to yourself ‘this is gonna be exciting’?

I think the “most successful” post is the one that causes a positive change. Even if the change is by one person, and even if that one person is the one who started the thread in the 1st place.
Besides, there is no way of telling how many people read a post (or hear about it in the outside world) but do not post.
Some of the threads have been very powerful. I don’t think we could say which got the most mileage because the ripple effect is impossible to measure or track.

For me, it’s the ones that end with or contain the phrase “Nunc est bibendum”.
For me, it’s the ones that end with or contain the phrase “est maintenant l’heure d’apprendre”.
That is rarely the end of a discussion- frequently the beginning of one. So our preferences are not mutually exclusive; rather quite in sync.
In fact, the best discussions are the ones that begin with your phrase and end with mine
😉
