After the horrible experience of visiting the CR this morning Israel time while mods were still sleeping, I really now appreciate the work you mods do (not to say I did not appreciate it before…)
Thanks for keeping the CR neat and orderly.
Perhaps you can consider someone running the night shift out of Europe or Israel- it would also help us Israelis who have to wait hours for our morning/motzei shabbos posts to appear.It would be a good idea to disable new thread from appearing, even title only, before moderation approval.
daas-im beginning to suspect you are an undercover mod. Always ready to whip out a CR Topic with the slightest hand.

Perhaps this should be a way that the original poster of the new topic should see that the topic is under consideration, at least in his personal account. As opposed to on the main page.
Why are pending messages disabled whn they didn’t show any content to begin with. Only the content should not be visible not the actual notification of pending.
LC, likely because the setting to disable affects both without the option to differentiate.
Yes but this is their website Im sure it can be tailored at will. The only thing in my opinion that should not be showing are titles of new topics which are pending. But the rest such as pending comments for articles or threads should appear as pending with screen name only so that we can actually know if our comment went through or if anyone else is commenting on the thread (as was the system before. Right now there is no way to know if the comment was even submitted. Even on pending topics if possible only show name of OP without title just to know if it went through. If thats not possible at least pending comments should be shown…>Thanks!
It cannot be tailored at will. I run websites, there’s certain settings in the site already and if you want to tailor it, you need to pay a tailor a hefty fee. AKA a programmer.
Shopping- that’s a different story. If they are using an already established platform then ya they are limited. It really annoying though not to be able to see that comments are pending. Both because you don’t know if your comment went through and you don’t see other comments pending which is always interesting. It is what it is though. Hey if you run websites maybe there’s an opportunity here 😉
Certain problems in this version didn’t exist before the update.
The updates also destroyed thousands of old threads.

In any case, no one is really favored here. We have both been users for a few years and through respect and the forum we create a relationship with the mods. There’s a few other ways to get answered, like if they have something they need to say, they had to edit your post, you are driving them insane, or they’re just in the mood to respond.In any case if you are respectful and courteous to them, they will be to you in return.
The reason they responded to me was probably a combination of knowing me for years, and also it seems like the mod on duty didn’t know where this was coming from and was surprised.I only have 29’s e-mail and the main moderation e-mail. I think I tried both. 29 only e-mails me back when he is trying to give my advice.
I don’t remember receiving any emails that were not responded to. I will check again.
Not really I believe I try contacting you guys 3 times at least about a particular subject.

-I noticed that, I tried responding to a really old thread but the number of comments disappear when opening it up and I dont think it even allowed comments. Not such a loss though is it?

I must be really old fashioned. I say hello to people I just meet, I answer strangers’ questions….sorry I guess I’m a real misfit for 2018.

When they updated the CR format…about 6-8 months ago I think…

@litvishechosid [stolin?] They weren’t random. It related in some way to the username or poster. Sometimes posters would request a specific subitle to have something they really believed in under their name.
There are technically still subtitles – it’s just that they’re all “Participant.”
