    Why did you ask?

Personally I have a lease and this is my third time around with my model. I need the third row for when I chauffer my grandkids around carseats, strollers, knapsacks and all.

I would put safety first when choosing a car. It’s essential to have good crash avoidance and crash protection features. SUVs and vans are more prone to rollover and need twice the safety distance to stop.

Consumer Report recommends checking the safety ratings at:

how about what type of car do you WANT to have?

    #714216

I have 6 cars which are leased.

2 are mine, one is a 2011 Range Rover Sport which I regularly use, the other one is a 2011 Audi A8 which I use usually only for work because its easier for parking.

Another one is my wifes which is a 2011 Audi Q7

    .

Another one is my 21 y/o sons which is a 2009 BMW 750LI Sedan. Don’t worry I don’t pay for the whole thing.

Another one is my 19 y/o daughters which is a 2010 650I convertible.

Don’t worry I don’t pay for the whole thing.

And then we have the 2008 Cadillac Escalade ESV for when we go somewhere with the whole family.

I am quite happy with my cars. I had Saabs for 25 years; nice cars, but they were a pain. I will probably upgrade the 1999 Subaru to a 2005 or so in the next year or two.

Onegoal, I checked the prices of those cars, and going to a run of the mill Lexus will be a huge step down!!!

Do you have any “cars” that actually fly?

I really think Beverly Hills needs to spend just a little less on cars, and a little more on teaching their sons and daughters about punctuation and capitalization.

However, your writing style fits in well with the mosherose wing of the YWN.

We have a 2008 Ford Fusion that we love (and paid 34% less than sticker price).

We recently donated our 1997 Ford Taurus (also a great car) because it needed too much work at the moment. We are looking to get a minivan. Probably the 2011 Honda Odyssey because you can fit 3 carseats in the middle row with latch. Otherwise we would buy a used minivan.

Nisht Ahe your insurance company must love you! I have an ’02 Escalade which i love. I like the new Escalade even better but with 180,000 miles my old one is still going strong so im waiting it out. Hub has a lexus it has a really nice ride. The kids have a infinity as old as the hills but its serving its purpose.

There is NOTHING like flying your own plane and I highly suggest everyone (OK, everyone qualified) try it! Seriously.

My regular ride is a Mazda Miata convertible. Driven pretty close to the speed limit …

gentle basket, my mother had a 78 Olds, too – lasted 26 years. I remember it fondly as part of our family, my sister the car.

    #714241

Nothing to lie about with mine – an ’05 Kia Sportage. We originally wanted a Rav4 or CRV, the Kia provided the same capabilities with a lower price (we bought it in 2008). I’ve been very happy with it, except that it’s not too good on gas mileage. My son has an ’07 Nissan Versa that he just got when it came off of a lease.

OK, I don’t drive a rusty clunker, nor do I drive a Rolls. But really, people, what is the point of this thread? Just to show off? One of the nicest features of the CR is that each of us are measured by our inner selves (or at least, that which we choose to reveal), not by our looks or wealth or possesions.

I like the good things in life, and have lots of “stuff”. But why here?

C’mon folks. Its bad enough we flaunt it in the outside world. Can we please keep it under wraps here as much as possible?
