    Where do you shop?

Sacrilege and cshapiro: I’m expecting help from you on this thread 🙂

    #766176

Usually in Boro Park stores-le bon, S&W, Exquisite… but also in Macy’s when they’re on sale-then they have expensive stuff for quite reasonable.

when i need a new suit every year or so i go into a store and buy one, about a 15 minute process.

new shirts, ties, and other clothing just appear in my closet every so often. i havent figured out how they get there.

H&M i love all their stuff! i like elegant and classy and often times i find great sweaters and skirts there.

im a huge bcbg fan too!!!

fox’s is okay, i just think the dressing room is super akward!!!

i like shopping in park slope where i work cause there are lots of small boutiques, also in downtown brooklyn there are some really great dress shops, i like evyette its 60 court street right by the court houses. they always have great stuff but sometimes its a hit or miss.

    #766184

    FOREVER 21!!! best store ever!!!

I don’t always find things in H&M…maybe we should go together someday 🙂

BCBG has lots of dresses but I’m tall so they’re usually short on me.

Fox’s is a total hit or miss in my experience. And I totally agree about the dressing room!!

I’m never really downtown but next time I’m there I’ll check out Evyette.

Thanks for the answers…I knew I could count on you 🙂

    Department Stores.

Saks, Bloomies, Nordstrom, Lord & Taylor and Macys. So convenient!

Old Navy and Gap for cardis and tanks they are a dime a dozen.

totally, i havent had a free second to go shopping since the beginning of the year, i some how found five minutes before pesach to get a load of dresses downtown tho.

i have a high school classmate who is a seamstress and a dressmaker so she lets down hems or adds on a peice to the bottom (id rather give her the parnasa then the asian dry cleaners who rip me off :)).

last time i was in h&m i found a shirt dress on the sales rack for $15 and my friend added on a peice to the bottom…my boss LOVES it!!!

I used to NEVER shop there until I went once and bought TONS!! I love the Jersey Gardens store.

    Sacrilege

The problem with me and department stores is that I first head to the shoes, then to the bags, and then I don’t have patience to look for clothes! But I recently started shopping from those places online.

    cshapiro

Smart to give business to someone Jewish. Usually even with the hems down they’re not long enough and you can’t always add…

I love shirt dresses! I actually ordered one which came today! I still need shoes to go with it but after that I have an outfit!

I never get shoes in department stores (unless I order them online) I hate having to find a runner and wait until he/she comes back… way too time consuming.

I’m not a browser, go in get it and leave, so department stores are perfect.

Charlotte russe…how could I forget?? They always have funky shirts and sweaters and I love open toe shoes so I always find something there. Also I just found these oxfords online at bakers for only thirty dollars…:-)

I should have added the disclaimer that I dress rather conservatively. I also love open toe shoes and think they look awesome with red toes but sadly I wouldn’t go outside like that. I always wanna try out the funky styles so I end up wearing them for pjs! You know the oversized top with leggings look? I wear that to bed sometimes 🙂

I’m all for trying something new, but if you arent comfortable with what you are wearing it definitely shows.

If you are looking to change things up a little maybe start with something small a belt or a big necklace and slowly evolve from there.

Once we’re starting on jewelry…I’m looking for bracelets, rings, and necklaces. I don’t wanna spend much but need for every day.
