What’s the deal with the Kiddush clubbers who cannot resist yelling out “ka’eileh” at the top of there lungs. If I wanted to hear you I would… actually I don’t want to hear you, you sound terrible, there is actually no one in shul except for you who wants to hear you. And it’s getting worse every year (as the literacy rate goes up?). HELP!
Ka’Eileh is the one word of Leining everyone listens to. We should be happy, not complain.
There was such a thread here a while ago called “are you a kaela yid”.
Very good point, Sam.
Doesn’t make it any less annoying. sorry.
Our shul has someone in the front conducting…
Last year, I said ka’eileh out loud for everyone to hear during the first 2 days of yom tov. This year, I did not. I didn’t talk during laining this year either… (ht The Wolf)
It’s brought down al pi sod that the entire shul exclaims aloud and is me’id “k’eileh!”, to be motzi from the tzedukim/YCT who don’t hold of korbanos.
Reb papa you are correct however shtate in seforim hakedoshim that one must also simultaneously point at someone in shul wearing a kipa sruga to be yotzei lichatchila.
Popa, now I understand why the OP mentioned kiddush clubbers.
Bad news. It happened again today.
