But YOU are part of that mystery!

“But YOU are part of that mystery!”

As are you. I can attest that 80 is no more responsible for the changes than you are.

squeak, when I wrote “But YOU are part of that mystery!” the only thing under my name was “Member”! Are you the one who is doing these things? Who are you really? Moderator-80? YW Editor? !!!

No one really knows who squeak is. But I wouldn’t speculate about this openly. It could be risky. The extent of his powers is as of yet unknown.

Heh heh. Not 100% true, but don’t ask about what happened to the few who found out.

“The extent of his powers is as of yet unknown”

Admittedly, even to me. But what better way to find out than to test the waters?

squeak, I am willing to test you! Cause you don’t know what d a stands for!!!

Sure I do. It’s your EDITED

The “d” stands for EDITED and the “a” stands for EDITED.

Given who you are dealing with, why would you assume there is any difference between the two?

cause I bet you me and you are not thinking of the same things (even though I think I know what you are talking about)

Does it have anything to do with clothing sold for a particular kind of activity?

    Chief Moderator is misspelled.

I don’t know if it was done purposely, but a lot of times when a new report comes in it will not become the first news item but will take the place of a previous report on the same topic. This means that for instance every time I wanted to find out an update on R’ Rubashkin I had to scroll up and down to see if anything was there about him. It seems to me that it would be much easier if every new piece would become the first story.

Since the website was upgraded, the new way it links directly to a specific comment — i.e. like when you click on the latest comment under “FRESHNESS” on the main CR page — is very difficult to navigate. This is because it doesn’t let you scroll up the page to see earlier comments on that page.

The old, pre-upgrade, method was much better, where it let you scroll up to see earlier comments on that page.

I still didn’t finish my entire refutation that I wanted to write in The Torah is Emes thread to some posters comments in the thread Cause for Teens at Risk.

I would have loved to finish that off before the thread was closed. Oh well.

missme, this is a post I posted a while a ago:

A way to fix this problem is to cut out all the extra stuff in the URL.

    For example:

    This is the current URL:

    http://www.theyeshivaworld.com/coffeeroom/topic/your-feedback-new-ywn-website/page/5#post-126643

    Remove this:

    #post-126643

    So your left with:

    http://www.theyeshivaworld.com/coffeeroom/topic/your-feedback-new-ywn-website/page/5

This is something you can do to any thread. Hopefully, the YW technicians will fix this annoying problem very soon.

Hope that works. If you don’t understand it 100% let me know.

I’m not sure if this is the correct place to ask this question but I’m just curious why the comment/title under my posting name was changed. If there is a problem with a post that made you decide to change it, please let me know.

Don’t worry I don’t care if people see what you write to me.

Nope, just wanted to simplify and abbreviate your description. But since you like the original, it has been restored.

The Yeshiva World (YW) logo that they use for “YWN Mailbag” letters is the old symbol…

The same is true for the YW Radio……

Maybe its time to wipe the honey off this thread and make it “un[sticky]”?!

Just wanted to point out that some of these problems from 3 years ago still exist. When you click on a thread’s most recent reply (under the freshness column), only the most recent reply (or two) shows up. The rest of the thread along with the YWN header is cut off. This problem also exists when you post a new comment.

A short term solution to this problem is to remove the specific post number (ex-remove #post-156235), which enables the entire thread to load. However, a more permanent fix is needed in order to be able to go directly to a thread’s most recent post while still having the rest of the posts load at the top of the page.

potpie – I also had that problem with the header being cut off but I just give the laptop a shake and it works.
