You make this sound like it is always a choice. I know a frum 27 year old young man, accountant, big 4 firm, (tall & thin) would love to get married but he is often turned down for being a worker and not a learner. He is not in the average, but not because of his choice.

A better question is when anyone was mekabel these hats – if you look a photographs just 50 or 100 years ago many gedolim and rabbonim wore other hats including gray. In fact, if you look at the film of the prior Lubavitcher rebbe most men were wearing gray

For those who tell SSIY that he has no right to comment – what about hocheach tocheach?

I cannot believe that some of the pro -smoking writers are actually bnai yeshiva – they are far too ignorant of the reality of the damage smoking causes both to the smoker and those around him. Smokers are mezikim to themselves and others.

Remember, just as there are brand name yeshivot whose graduates are sought after, there are brand name colleges. Generally the more you put in the more you will reap the benefits. ‘Lefum tzaara agra’.

As someone who hires, even a degree may not be enough, the better the school and the grades the more likely the hires. It is very competitive out there.

So it would work like this: the planning table would consist of Agudah, Lakewood, Chabad, Torah Vodaas, Bais Yaakov, YU aaanndd Solomon Schechter? Just try to get everyone to work together. V’gar ze’ev im keves will happen sooner.

Bnia Levi were rewarded after ma’aseh ha’agel. You are not preparing children for life where they need to strive AND deal with failure as well as success.Teach them not to bejealous -don’t remove the reward of the deserving. By your logic parents who own houses should give them up so apartment dwellers will not be jealous. Let the children grow up.
