    Thanks for all your suggestions!

Jax: The problem is that the person did something that really changed my life. The person doesn’t think that what they did was wrong and there really is no way to forgive them. The only reason they asked for forgiveness was because they want to keep a relationship with me. It’s not someone who I can completely shut out of my life so it’s kind of hard. And there is plenty of good in the person but what they did was much worse than anything good they have to them.

an open book: Lying is definetely not a good idea but the truth is that I really don’t want to forgive them and anyone in my situation would say the same. I don’t really have a great relationship with the person and it’s not that I am being mean- in truth, what they did has caused a lot of hardships in my life so I don’t know if I will ever be able to forgive them. As to the reason why they did what they did- there is absolutely no valid excuse in the world for it and even if I tried, I would not be able to put myself in their place. They aren’t really sorry and no they didn’t apologize; it was more of a “can you forgive me so that I don’t look so bad” kind of thing. They don’t think that what they did was wrong so they aren’t sorry about it.

Two Yeshiva Bochurim are walking on a boiling hot day. Suddenly they see a sign on the gate of a pool saying:

    “Pool Closed. No swimming allowed.”

One of the Bochurim started to walk into the pool area. The other boy said ” What are you doing? Didn’t you read the sign?” The boy laughed and answered. “You’ve got to learn how to read the sign like a Yeshiva Bochur! This is how you read the sign:”

    “Pool Closed? No! Swimming allowed.”

A duck walks into a store.

    Duck: Got grapes?

    Store owner: Nope.

Duck walks out. Walks back in.

    Duck: Got grapes?

Store owner: NO! I already told you! No grapes!

Duck walks out. Walks back in.

    Duck: Got grapes?

Store owner: NO! I have no grapes! And if you come back in here one more time asking for grapes I am going to nail your webbed feet to the floor!

Duck walks out. Walks back in.

    Duck: Got nails?

    Store owner: Nope.

    Duck: Got grapes?

Someone asked me for forgiveness and I would love to forgive them but I have very hard feelings against them. Is it better that I tell them that I forgive them even if I don’t?
