I don’t see why the passage of time should matter unless the store can claim that because of the passage of time, they can’t verify your claim or that they no longer have the correct report. I admire your decision to let it go.
My understanding of the pre-nup endorsed by REITS/YU is that it prevents or lessens the possibility of an Agunah situtation. It is not meant to diminish the rights of a woman as provided by a Kesubah. In light of the impotence of most, if not all, Battei Dinim in dealing with an Agunah situation, this appears to be a commendable solution.
I have heard, though I have not verified, that copasetic, which means “in order” (e.g., I have checked on our travel arrangements and everything is copasetic.) comes from the Hebrew “Hakol B’Seder.”
