The Idf does not represent klal Yisroel making a mishebeirach for them in Shul would give off the false notion that they represent klal Yisroel. They don’t, they represent medinas Yisroel.

yes i heard this story. reb chaim asked what kind of name is shira and the father said well she was born parshas shira.
rav chaim said your lucky she was not born parshas puhra.
