When a teacher goes home, they check homework, prepare lessons, call/email parents, deal with your child’s therapists. Which leaves them no time to work a second job. Hence they should get paid the full time salary. Of course there’s the vacations, even though they arent working , they can’t get another job because of their loyalties to your child.
If a rebbe works a summer job, then when he gets upset at you child in November, you are the first to scream he’s burnt out and is taking it out on my child…..
That’s why a rebbe deserves a full time salary

Im not talking about how much a rebbe gets paid we’ve accepted that when we sign up for the job. But why should I get paid late month after month because no one pays their tuition on time, but those same people are out on vacation ….

There are yeshivas that have a lower standard in english /judaic studies, less extra room (no gym, cafeteria , big BM) maybe less administration , less therapist. And they give their children enough of the religious standard as every other school.

What the yeshivah asks, is what is resonable. if they want to do you a favor and give scholarship that’s great , if not , there are many Yeshivot not in the standard you are looking for that are more than willing t btake your child. (Spoken from a Rebbe who hasn’t gotten paid, because parents have to pay their vacation homes and camps first)

If you have a 24 year old daughter , then yes it is reasonable, if you have a 21 year old son it isn’t reasonable.
How fast Would you set up a 29 year old guy with a 20 year old girl?
All depends on situation , but le’chatchila …..
