I do it, and it helps me hurry up even though I know it is fast. There are also times that I will forget that it is fast and hurry up too.

    cshapiro

Wow, now im so depressed!Im very sensitive!!! lol jk

but just to warn you..Yeshiva world or atleast one of the Mods is going to try to take the shadchanus money, saying that it is because of them, that Sac and WIY met! You better be ready for a fight. I actually know someone who had told a person while he was dating about the girl he was dating. After he got engaged, the person that he had been talking to asked him for shadchanus money. He replied, “you didn’t do anything to help! Why should I pay you?” The guy replied back, “well you should pay me because I didn’t say anything!”

    Sac

Yes thats true, but I just cant see myself doing that. I dont care how rich the old lady is…

    Blinky

I actually didn’t know what fafrummet is either so thanks Blinky.

You’re right, my bad. But there are plenty that are not getting that “exposure” that still go, and I am sure there are so many more that if offered to go, will go in a second.

    Btw, what is a chanyuk?

    Popa,

Sorry but I have to disagree.

I have plenty of friends who have wanted to date the really pretty girls and thought they were great girls.

I cant begin to tell you how wrong they were. ALOT of guys that I know do judge at least initially on looks. I know that it is wrong, but just the facts…

in reply to: Gift Ideas for Men #1000571

    Sac

You gotta think outta the box. He meant it in a “good way”. lol

When people treat you as less intelligent than a shnooky 19 year old because that person is married and you’re still single..

Well….your right. That is why they need to invent a cream to create wrinkles on peoples faces, instead of just creating creams to put on people and make them look younger lol jk

in reply to: Gift Ideas for Men #1000563

    WIY

    Come on…everyone does it….be honest.

    Sac

Darn! I was already planning a vacation with the money! It’s freezing outside;(

in reply to: Gift Ideas for Men #1000554

    cshapiro

Ok, I’ll split it with you lol

    Sac

Ok, how much will it take/what would it take for you to say yes to WIY?

    And what type of bourbon?

in reply to: What's Your Pet Peeve? #982740

    SAC

    😉

in reply to: What's Your Pet Peeve? #982736

kapusta…I take the butter from my peanut “butter” cups…nah I just don’t like peanut butter sandwiches.

sac…Just don’t take that out on me.

in reply to: Gift Ideas for Men #1000548

    WIY

Just go for it….ask her. I get shadchanus $;)

in reply to: Gift Ideas for Men #1000537

lol hey Sac, that would be a good present to WIY….

in reply to: What's Your Pet Peeve? #982728

You know what really grinds my gears?;-)

When you are really hungry and butter bread ect, and it suddenly falls from your hand onto the floor. It always ends up with the buttered side on the ground! There is no 5 second rule with that.

in reply to: What's Your Pet Peeve? #982726

    Dunno/Sac

It is! But so far i haven’t been able to change the shidduch system so oh well:)

in reply to: What's Your Pet Peeve? #982715

    not I

Yes, I guess that can be attributed to posters being in the “parsha”(I never really understood why you call it a parsha), or parents of kids in the “parsha”

in reply to: What's Your Pet Peeve? #982708

Sac, I actually have done that, and been told the same, with a big smile on her face, and then find out the nxt day that it is a no go.

dunno, yes, but the girl sometimes decides to get back “later”.

If you know that it is a yes, say it!

And that goes with another peeve that I have.

Why do 2 mature(hopefully) people who are ready for marriage, have to play the game of “hard to get”? There are so many shadchannim who tell me when I say this, that this is how it is.

in reply to: What's Your Pet Peeve? #982702

How about, and I have heard this from both sides, waiting for an answer from the other side after a date if it will continue or not. I know how other people feel so I always give it right away or ask for a little more time if I need to think about it.

in reply to: What's Your Pet Peeve? #982696

I think people just need to use basic decency, and sometimes think, “would I like it if someone else would do this to me ect…”?

in reply to: What's Your Pet Peeve? #982692

    Real-Brisker

    Derech eretz kadma LaTorah…..?

Excuse yourself, turn away from the people you are facing, and blow your nose then.(My 6th grade Rebbi made sure that this was ingrained in all of us)

in reply to: What's Your Pet Peeve? #982687

Thanks Sac, yup, thats what happened to me.

in reply to: Rebbi Smacking Kids #719566

I think if you need to hit the student, then you as a teacher have an issue. If you are respected, even if you are not liked, the students will respect you, and you dont need to hit them. Obviously kids will be kids and wont be perfect, but dont forget, children are extremely impressionable, and will NOT forget it.

in reply to: What's Your Pet Peeve? #982683

People that like talking about Kleenex;)

When the girl and her parents are not on the same page, causing the shidduch to be broken off….

in reply to: Cliff Lee SHOCKER #717062

I think it is a big deal for both NY teams. The Yankees have no-one they can count on after CC and Phil Hughes. Aj has been very iffy and then you are stuck with Nova and Mitre…The mets basically just lost the division. Their division rival has 4 top of the rotation aces, who have pitched extremely well in the postseason, sans Lee in the Ws this yr.

Im happy in a way, because it was a wake up call to the Yankees that not everyone can be bought off with money.

in reply to: What Would You Undo? #716209

    I agree with WIY.

I have done things I wish I hadn’t, but I grew from it. I used to be down because I messed up ect, but then I realized I can grow from each experience, and BH I do.

in reply to: Gift Ideas for Men #1000487

lol Thanks Mod. Yes I meant expiration…though hmmmm now you just gave me some new ideas!

in reply to: Gift Ideas for Men #1000485

    cshapiro

Just make sure you are not buying the ones that have epiration dates built into them. They drop value very quickly.

in reply to: Gift Ideas for Men #1000483

Lol I dont even know what that means!

in reply to: Gift Ideas for Men #1000474

Well…it just happened so I dont want that the girl or her parents are going to read it and know its them…but lets just say it was not fun

in reply to: Gift Ideas for Men #1000472

lol yea well it may take some time now…i have to restart the whole process:(

in reply to: Gift Ideas for Men #1000471

Lol I figured that is what you meant by that…

in reply to: Gift Ideas for Men #1000468
