It is true that Yiddish is spoken internationally, but I can only understand the Yiddish of people who live near me.
👑RebYidd23ParticipantMaybe Oscar Wilde inspired many people to do this?
August 14, 2017 1:14 pm at 1:14 pm in reply to: When Yossi’s depression was mistaken for Atzlus by his mashgiach #1338263👑RebYidd23ParticipantBut can organizations like Relief Resources be trusted when there is such a stigma about mental health? If someone had a bad experience with them, they wouldn’t tell anyone. They would be ashamed.
👑RebYidd23ParticipantAre young men not men?
👑RebYidd23ParticipantThe pieces can easily slide around the board.

👑RebYidd23ParticipantScreams alone tell very little.
There are people who scream because they are being attacked.
There are people who scream in anger;
There are ghosts who scream because it is the only way they can feel alive.
There are people who are in pain and so they scream but there is no help.
There are people whose natural condition is to scream, and they scream in response to almost anything.
And then there are also all kinds of silence.
People who have heart attacks but live alone and aren’t found until it’s too late.
People whose fear of death keeps them alive after their will to live is all gone, who keep themselves numb using whatever means they can.
People who are being totally controlled by another person, and don’t dare to even whisper.
People who feel so small that they don’t think they have the right to make a sound.
People who are long gone and can’t scream.
People who know that if they started to scream, they would scream forever.
People who have been completely abandoned and feel invisible.👑RebYidd23ParticipantLight pink manicure is probably beged isha.
August 11, 2017 7:01 pm at 7:01 pm in reply to: Tight-fitting clothing and tznius – the elephant in the room #1337686👑RebYidd23ParticipantYeah you can. Spend $5,000 on a suit that doesn’t fit and use it for yard work.
👑RebYidd23ParticipantNot playing by the rules doesn’t win the game.
👑RebYidd23ParticipantSyag, you aren’t considering the costs on both sides. I’m not saying your conclusions are wrong, but you need to recognize that every option has a cost.

I apologize for the inaccuracy in my post.August 11, 2017 3:22 pm at 3:22 pm in reply to: Tight-fitting clothing and tznius – the elephant in the room #1337633👑RebYidd23ParticipantKollelman, I also don’t want to get to explicit, but mens’ actions can and do cause others to sin.
August 11, 2017 3:06 pm at 3:06 pm in reply to: Tight-fitting clothing and tznius – the elephant in the room #1337631👑RebYidd23ParticipantIacisrmma, only I mentioned bagel scooping, and only as a nod to the other thread. And this time I did not say it was assur.
👑RebYidd23ParticipantJakob, they’re children, not fools.
👑RebYidd23ParticipantSyag, you don’t live on a little island of purity and sorrow where you have a monopoly on tragedy.
👑RebYidd23ParticipantCounterargument using same style.

👑RebYidd23ParticipantThere’s a man (or was, he’s dead now too) whose neighbor heard shrieking from his house and figured he must have been murdering someone. After the police were called and found that it was indeed the radio, the man was so embarrassed that he couldn’t face anyone anymore. He became so withdrawn that his wife divorced him and took the kids, and there was nobody at home to find him on time after he had the heart attack.
August 11, 2017 8:56 am at 8:56 am in reply to: Tight-fitting clothing and tznius – the elephant in the room #1337381👑RebYidd23ParticipantCriticism tuns a lot deeper than insults. Insulting someone is just saying something that clashes with their sensibilities.
Insulting someone is not akin to murder. You’re mixing that up with something else.
👑RebYidd23ParticipantI think country clubs should allow black people to join.
👑RebYidd23ParticipantAs soon as the nails are mature. Natural colors, or matching to eyeglasses.
👑RebYidd23ParticipantApples to Apples is better than Ticket To Ride.
August 10, 2017 11:01 pm at 11:01 pm in reply to: Tight-fitting clothing and tznius – the elephant in the room #1337286👑RebYidd23ParticipantI said you’re overthinking it. I didn’t mean that as criticism, I meant that as an insult. I take that back now that I realize you don’t like being insulted. However, I still respectfully disagree.
And I don’t think there is any judgement in what I said before, particularly as I was using it as an indefinite personal pronoun.
Never scoop a bagel around me.👑RebYidd23ParticipantI don’t like pink, so rose colored glasses would make the world look bad to my eyes.
👑RebYidd23Participant“People of color” is a wider term describing anyone who has visible melanin in their skin. African Americans are specifically Americans of African descent.
👑RebYidd23ParticipantLearning is a privilege.
August 10, 2017 9:49 pm at 9:49 pm in reply to: Tight-fitting clothing and tznius – the elephant in the room #1337233👑RebYidd23ParticipantAnd I don’t see anywhere there is blame, or judgement, just an opinion about implications.
👑RebYidd23ParticipantBetter than windows 8. You PCs are offended by the smallest things, even operating systems!
👑RebYidd23ParticipantThere are different types of addiction.
👑RebYidd23ParticipantIf you can’t stand someone on a date, that’s a red flag.
August 10, 2017 2:31 pm at 2:31 pm in reply to: Tight-fitting clothing and tznius – the elephant in the room #1336407👑RebYidd23ParticipantSo you don’t think not talking to the opposite gender inhibits one’s skills at talking to the opposite gender?
👑RebYidd23ParticipantAs a former child, I can tell you that children are often not only made to feel personally responsible for themselves, but they are made to feel responsible for everything from their principal’s general well being to the national debt.
👑RebYidd23ParticipantNo, everything is about politics.
👑RebYidd23ParticipantSmoking is itself morally wrong, regardless of what you’re smoking. That can be tobacco, or it can be tea leaves. Either way it’s going into my air supply and you’re making me cough. I have no problem with nicotine use in itself.
👑RebYidd23ParticipantThe shulchan aruch is not for goyim.
👑RebYidd23ParticipantPot should be legal. You shouldn’t get to tell other people what to do. It’s a waste of resources to jail people for it.
👑RebYidd23ParticipantI’ve seen tobacco destroy too.
👑RebYidd23ParticipantBeing stuck in the 50s is not a good thing. Civil rights and stuff.
👑RebYidd23ParticipantWhy not invite the neighbor over for tea?
August 10, 2017 10:11 am at 10:11 am in reply to: Tight-fitting clothing and tznius – the elephant in the room #1335643👑RebYidd23ParticipantWhat’s wrong with looking at every side of a hypothetical story?
👑RebYidd23ParticipantWhat are the spiritual effects of wearing glasses that improve the appearance of people you look at?
👑RebYidd23ParticipantOTD is not the same things as drugs, but I think it can be argued that people on drugs lose some of their free will.
August 10, 2017 9:46 am at 9:46 am in reply to: Tight-fitting clothing and tznius – the elephant in the room #1335589👑RebYidd23ParticipantNo, kluger, you’re overthinking this. I already think it’s wrong to publicly criticize someone for their clothes anyway. Person number 2 was to be burned at the stake at dawn. Now that person number 2 was insulting rather than criticizing, it’s a lesser offense, just a small fine.
👑RebYidd23ParticipantIt’s less efficient to combine topics. And typical PC garbage, not wanting to discuss itself.
August 10, 2017 9:38 am at 9:38 am in reply to: What happens when the awareness movement succeeds? #1335578👑RebYidd23ParticipantThere are many awareness movements. Most of them are for diseases and such.
