1: enough with all these threads about Lubavitch. It is a holy Chassidus and it’s Rebbe איש אלוקים קדוש הוא.
2: @mdd1 get help. Either you are a sonei chinam or just uneducated. I hope the latter. Open an Igros Moshe and you will see the titles Reb Moshe gives the Rebbe.
3: It is an ISSUR DEORAYSA to cut your beard. The Gedolim paskened. I don’t know what Reb Moshe wrote. Even if he wrote that, במחילת כבוד קדושתו, יחיד ורבים הלכה כרבים.
There is a well known story that a Bachur came to Rav Shteinman and asked if he could shave his beard. When Rav Shteinman said no, the Bachur said that everyone else in his yeshiva shaves. Rav Shteinman asked him: would you eat Chazir if everyone in your yeshiva did?

The Chafetz Chaim wrote a whole Sefer against cutting your beard.
The Baba Sali would refuse to hear Birkas Kohanim from a Kohen who didn’t have a beard.
Reb Chaim wrote a Perez in Orchos Yoshor about it.
I saw letters from Rav Shach, the Chazon Ish and Rav Aharon Kotler that say that you cannot shave.

A Rabbi by the name of Reb Moshe Viner wrote a two volume set with all the mekoros and letters of the Gedolim about cutting your beard. It is called Hadras Ponim – Zoken.

In the end of the Lubavitcher Rebbe zatzal’s letter he asks: how is this helping you in Avodas Hashem?

@aviradearah. You are right. Rabbi Wolpo wrote two books. One: the above mentioned Yechi Hamelech which discusses Moshiach in general. Two: a book called Yechi Hamelech Hamoshiach which discusses the Rebbe having a chezkas Moshiach. It has haskamos from Rav Ovadia, Rav Mordechai Eliyahu, Rav Hirshprung and Rav Moshe Stern among others.

    Sanhedrin 98b.
This Gemara is saying that students would believe that they’re Rebbi was Moshiach.

@rso. Reb Sholom Wolpo wrote a book called Yechi Hamelech explaining how the Rebbe is/was bechezkas Moshiach. That Sefer got the haskamos of Reb Moshe and Rav Ovadia among others.

@aviradearah: let me tell you a little maaseh about the Chazon Ish ztl. Reb Shrage wilman was a Rebbi in Camden New Jersey in the 50s. This Reb Shrage’s wife was a niece of The Chazon Ish. Her father was Reb Shmuel Greineman, brother in law of the Chazon Ish.
Reb Shrage related that we was moving to America from Eretz Yisrael in 1953, not long before the Chazon ish’s passing. The Chazon ish told him that after he passes away he should be Bekesher with the Lubavitcher Rebbe ztl because “he will be the new Gadol Hador”.

Does not sound like your maaseh at all.

Chevreh. Who cares???!!! Let the Lubavitcher believe what they want to believe. Why does it bother you? To be sonei chinam lemaan being sonei chinam? If you don’t want to believe the Rebbe ztl is moshiach: no one is forcing you to believe that.
Al kol ponim let’s spend more effort bringing him here than fighting about who he is! In any case he will be accepted. Whether it is the Rebbe or Reb Chaim or Rashi, you will have to accept him. Stop wasting your time.

It is a cult of Jews. Not Jewish. It does not represent Yiddishkeit.
