I go to YU and it really bothers me when posters on this thread presuppose that YU is krum and if your a ben torah you’ll go somewhere else. YU is a tremendous makom torah filled with talmidei chacahmim and bnei aliyah. They provide a great college education as well, and the services and oppurtunities provided there are unbeleivable. It is a “big tent” so studenets come from all different backgrounds and are enrolled in learning programs that work best for them. There is so much misinformation about YU out there that it behooves somone who is considering it to talk to someone actually there and not base their decision on rumors and sterotypes.

What i can’t stand is when people judge others by these meaningless labels. Not all “MO” people are the same nor are all “charedi” people. You have exteremely shtark people from the “MO” comunity and real jerks who create tremendous chillul hashem from the more yeshivish crowd and vice versa. The point is labels mean nothing and are things that only we people care about. They are absolute shtuss and politics don’t exist in shamayim. “

Hashem most certainly is smiling down on this song. a song whose lyrics include ‘a great return to torah learning” has encaptured the hearts of thousands(millions?) of yidden around the world, yidden who need chizuk the most. what a tremendous kiddush hashem and pirsumei nissah of chanukah!
