The 3-year-old toddler who drowned in a bathtub last week was niftar in Shaare Zedek Medical Center in Yerushalayim on Sunday, 9 Cheshvan. The toddler, Akiva Werner z�l, was left in the tub unattended in his Givat Mordechai home for a short time, apparently enough to drown. He was transported to the hospital in critical condition.

Police launched an investigation to determine if the parents are liable for being negligent.

Akiva z�l was hospitalized alongside infant Efrat bas Hadas, who suddenly slipped into a comatose state last week in daycare. Akiva�s levaya took place in Jerusalem today, 10 Cheshvan, at 10:00am.
