The 3-year-old toddler who drowned in a bathtub last week was niftar in Shaare Zedek Medical Center in Yerushalayim on Sunday, 9 Cheshvan. The toddler, Akiva Werner z”l, was left in the tub unattended in his Givat Mordechai home for a short time, apparently enough to drown. He was transported to the hospital in critical condition.

Police launched an investigation to determine if the parents are liable for being negligent.

Akiva z”l was hospitalized alongside infant Efrat bas Hadas, who suddenly slipped into a comatose state last week in daycare. Akiva’s levaya took place in Jerusalem today, 10 Cheshvan, at 10:00am.
