  1. He was our beloved Chazzon for over 60 years. He had a very close relationship with Rav Joseph Breuer,ZT”L and his family as well as with Rav Schwab ZT”L and with our present rabbonim,Rav Gelley and Rav Mantel. He leaves behind his wife,to whom he was very dedicated and a son,and 2 grandchildren His rendition of the KAJ nussach blended with Frankfurt and some Hamburg niggunim became the standard for KAJ.He also had a close relationship with Mr Benno Weis,Z”L and with Mr. Walter Scnerb, who taught him some of the Frankfurter niggunim. He was also active in the Chevra Kadisha and Shaarei Zedek hospital. He also coached his partner,Chazzon David Kenner and learned from our late Chazzon Aba Wertheim,Z”L.and many others. I’m sure I missed some details and apologize for that,as I was not yet born when he became our Chazzon. He rarely missed minyan and always came on time, actually early.May he be a mailitz yosher for the kehilla, his family and all K’lal Yisroel.

  2. A straight arrow of a man, both in physical stature and in his philosophy of life, a kind gentleman, focused and diligent, very family minded but always welcoming toward guests,
Uncle Bob and Auntie Francis were a great team,
he will be sadly missed, they don’t make them like this anymore, as a chazan myself I looked up to him as a great chazan, he went out of his way to be there for other people, tehei nishmoso tzeruro bitzror hachayim, hamokom yenachem eschem besoch shar aveilei tzion v’Yerushalim
