A tragedy occurred R”L on Monday night the eve of 13 Tishrei as a man fell to his death from a sixth floor while construction his sukka. Yosef Shlomo Shenkar z”l, 43, fell to his death apparently after losing his balance while working on his balcony.
The tragedy occurred at about 21:30 as Magen David Adom Ayalon District received the call. MDA responded along with Ichud Hatzalah, receiving a report of an unconscious male on Shagas Aryeh Street as a result of a fall from an apartment above. The victim was transported to Sheba Medical Center at Tel Hashomer in critical condition. He was pronounced dead in the emergency room.
He was working on the washing terrace balcony when he lost his balance.
