Baruch Dayan HaEmmes � HaGaon HaRav Yehuda Aryeh Treger, Rosh Yeshivas Chafetz Chaim Antwerp and son-in-law of HaGaon HaRav Shlomo Zalman Auerbach ZT�L ZY�A, was niftar at the age of 81. He was known as the Antwerp Rosh Yeshiva.
Rav Treger traveled to the United States for treatment for his difficult illness about a half year ago. During his illness the Machzikei Hadas Beis Din called on its tzibur to be mispallel for the rav daily. He was niftar in the USA.
As a young man he learned in Ponevezh and Slobodka. The late gadol hador selected him to become his son-in-law because of his advancement in limud Torah and avodas Hashem despite being from Amshinov Chassidic roots and that his father was a working man, not one immersed in Torah fulltime.

The despite being of chassidic roots need not be mentioned as for two reasons this wouldn’t be taken into account. 1-Rav Shlomo Zalman ztl was a great individual who would not be bothered with something like that 2-He himself,as many gedolim,had illustrious chassidic roots.

this is horrific & tragic. our Gedolim are leaving us on a weekly basis & its just getting worse R�L. do you remember just a few years ago-before this mageifa of Gedolim started-when we only heard once or twice a year c�v that a tzaddik was niftar? 18 Gedolei Hador have passed away already this year of 2015 R�L

I�m sorry to be the one to say this & it brings tears to my eyes, but righteous tzaddikim don�t belong staying in a world of people who won�t do teshuva, they belong with Hashem & his shechina in olam Haba.
If we want Hashem to give us these Tzaddikim to guide us through the generation then we need to listen to them %100 & we need to do teshuva to be deserving of their guidance & Torah.
May we all start doing Teshuva ASAP before any other Tzaddikim are niftar C�V

#3: No, it is not a coincidence. They were all elderly to very old gentlemen. It is tragic when young people die; it is not unexpected when elderly people are niftar.
