Many local elected officials as well as members of law enforcement paid a special visit to Krula Camp in Fallsburg, Monday morning. They were greeted by more than a thousand children.

Among those in attendance were Sullivan County Sheriff Mike Schiff, Undersheriff Eric Chaboty, NYSP Captain Jamie Kaminski, Fallsburg Police Chief Simmy Williams, Town Of Fallsburg Supervisor Steve Vegliante, Jodi Goodman – the Patient Advocate and Community Support Group for Catskill Regional Medical Center, and many others.

They were introduced by Police Chaplain and prominent community leaders Rabbi Abe Friedman and Rabbi Berish Freilich. Also in attendance was Simcha Bernard from Boro Park Shomrim.

After they each had a chance to address the hundreds of campers and staff, the group was taken to the Krula Rebbe for a private meeting. The Rebbe inquired about some local safety procedures, and then wished each one much success in ensuring the safety of the residents of Sullivan County – both the summer residents, as well as those residing in the County all year long.
