White Lake Shul To Honor Rabbi, Holocaust Survivor, At Annual Melaveh Malkah Dinner

hol2White Lake Beis Medrash is hosting their annual “Melaveh Malkah” Dinner this Saturday Night, August 3, 2013, at 10:30 pm.

The guests of honor this year are Rabbi and Mrs. Tzvi Elimelech Kornreich, owner of the Farsite Bungalow Colony in Mongaup Valley. Rabbi Korneich was born in Poland and escaped from the horrors of the Aushwitz concentration camp, and joined the partisan underground movement fighting Nazi occupation. He and his wife eventually moved to America, where, despite all odds, they miraculously raised a large family, many of whom are distinguished Rabbis throughout the world. Their story is one of redemption and faith sure to inspire all.

Congregation Beth Sinai/White Lake Torah Center is under the leadership of Rabbi Shmuel Fishbain for close to four decades, and is the only year-round synagogue in the Town of Bethel. The synagogue is open to all regardless of affiliation, and conducts services and offers study opportunities and pastoral services to the entire community all year long.

The event is open to the public.

For more information, call Rabbi Fishbain at 583-7374
