The Satmar Rebbe of Kiryas Yoel, HaRav Aharon Tietlebaum, was reportedly tested for Coronavirus on Thursday.
Sources tell YWN that the Rebbe was tested after his physician ordered the test as a precaution. The Rebbe reportedly has no symptoms and is resting at home in quarantine due to his age.
The Rebbe is a high candidate for this virus, as he meets with hundreds of people each day, not to mention the multiple Tish that were held on Purim which were attended by thousands upon thousands of Satmar Chassidim.
YWN notes that the test takes at least two days for the results to come back, and the Rebbe was tested today.
Earlier Thursday, YWN published a video from a leading physician in Kiryas Yoel who predicted that 90% of the entire village will have the virus in the next few days.
CLARIFICATION: Just spoke with 3 family members of Grand Rabbi Aron Teitelbaum, and here's the situation.
He got tested yesterday, final results aren't expected for at least another day.
His temperature read 98 today. The joint pains he's experiencing predate Covid-19.

a doctor friend who spends time in KJ, half day a week, told me that he told a patient a while back that he had a virus and the hasid said avayros! oy !

The Rebbe negligently fails to order his disciples to follow the keep your distance guidelines until the White House has to intervene, yet he gets to be tested. What a leader!

Chazal tell us numerous times that matters of sakana which the public ignore (dashu bo rabim), Hashem protects against such sakonos.
Better not to say anything then anything at all.

As Godolim (who you hopefully admire) warn us now we need to stop talking, comenting negative on others, no difference if the you agree or don’t with them. Your of kinds comment is part of the problem and you need to do Teshiva .
Ps, I have no connection with the rebbe , I simply have some respect Godol Yisroes. And as a Yid I won’t comment such negative comments on other people and even it true you are still not allowed
