VIDEO: CNN Goes On Rampage Against Susan Rice Bombshell, Instructs Viewers to Ignore Story

Since news broke Monday that the Obama Administration’s National Security Adviser, Susan Rice, directed the “unmasking” of NSA intercepts of Trump associates, CNN has raced to shoot down the blockbuster report.

CNN Tonight’s Don Lemon went so far as to announce he would ignore the news at all costs.

While interviewing a Democratic congressman, CNN’s Chris Cuomo claimed it was “demonstrably untrue” Rice sought surveillance of the Trump team, even as that’s exactly what yesterday’s reports prove.

Over the last 24 hours, the network has also repeatedly called on its chief national security correspondent, Jim Sciutto, to dismiss the reports as a non-story; Sciutto has even excused Rice claiming ignorance of the unmasking scandal two weeks ago, arguing Rice “wasn’t aware” what unmasking Rep. Devin Nunes (D-Calif.) was referring to.

Last night, Lemon began “CNN Tonight” with an announcement that the Rice report a “fake scandal ginned up by right-wing media and Trump” that he would not be baited into justifying with coverage.

  1. They won’t insult the American people with the truth, only with fake Russia stories with no evidence for 3+ months.

  2. CNN is right. Rice never “sought surveillance” of Trump. She was given intelligence information as part of her role as National Security Advisor. She asked to unmask the name of an unamed US citizen in order to better understamd the context of the report. It is perfectly legal for an NSA director to request unmasking of names when there is a valid reason to do so.There is absolutly no evidence to suggest that she ordered surveillance of Trump or any Trump opeoperatives. Evem if it were true it would not diminish the fact that Trump lied when he tweeted that OBAMA “wiretapped” Trump Tower PRIOR to the election. The attempt to justify Trumps slander and lies is obnoxious and disgusting.

  3. #4 (kishmoi kein hu): There was no valid reason for the unmasking since the transcripts showed no threat to national security. It was clearly a political move. In any case, if it’s so clear cut as you say, why is CNN cowardly trying to suppress the story?

  4. #5 Really have you seen the transcripts? How do you know that that “the transcripts showed no threat to national security”? You have no way of knowing because the transcripts are still classified. The original Bloomberg report which is the source that names Rice makes it quite clear that Rice most likely did not break any law with the unmasking.

What is clear is that Trump lies again and again and refuses to ever apologize. He then tries to deflect blame by saying that he meant something else blah, blah, blah. Trump lied about size of inaugaration, he lied about muslims celebrating, he lied about Cruz’s father, he lied about illegal voters, he lied about the size of his electoral college victory, he lied about “last night in Sweden” and he lied about Obama wiretapping him. He is an egotistical coward who lies and slanders at whim but then hypocriticaly accuses the media of spreading fake news.

  5. Congratulations to Don Lemonhead on becoming the first openly gay member of farrakhan’s nation of islam. There is no other plausible explanation for that bowtie.
