NYS Assemblyman Dov Hikind (D-Brooklyn) praised the MTA for agreeing to his request to cease planned repair work along New Utrecht Ave. between 46th and 49th Streets before this Sunday.

�The no parking signs that were recently placed along New Utrecht will be removed after this Saturday, Hikind said. �I explained to the MTA, which needs to do repair work on weekends, that this Sunday is an important shopping day for our community and they complied. I want to thank Andy Inglesby, Assistant Director of Government and Community Relations at the MTA NYC Transit. Wishing everyone in our community an easy and meaningful fast.�
