A tractor-trailer carrying approximately 1,000 chickens overturned on Wednesday morning.
The incident occured on Exit 4 of I-84 in the Town of Wallkill.
The truck was heading to a poultry processing plant in Sullivan County. Dozens of cages were split open with live birds on the side of the road. Dozens of chicks were said to have been killed.
Photos from the scene showed that some of the chickens were freed from their crates when the truck rolled over.
The driver of the truck was taken to Orange Regional Medical Center with minor injuries, but has since been released.
Workers scrambled to save as many of the birds’ lives as possible, but some chickens were killed in the accident.

… a clucking mess.
No one asked for name of driver for Tehillim. Do we all assume that all truckdrivers are goyim?
“Workers scrambled to save as many of the birds’ lives as possible, but some chickens were killed in the accident.”
The most comical line by far.
Save them today so they can be killed tomorrow…
I wonder what this was like from the chickens’ point of view.
Do they lose their Chezkas Kashrus?

Only to be killed later. How ironic.
