NYPD Releases New Footage of Williamsburg Attack on Hasidic Man on Friday Night [VIDEO]

The NYPD has released new footage of the Friday night hate attack in Williamsburg.

As reported on YWN, the victim was walking home from Shul with his young son and had stopped to talk to another man in the area of 68 Throop Avenue, when a man approached one of them from behind and punched the 33-year-old victim in the back of the head. The suspect then fled on foot southbound on Throop Avenue. The victim suffered minor injuries as a result of the attack.

The NYPD is looking for a Hispanic male, 30 to 35 years old, 5’10”, 250lbs; last seen wearing a gray hooded sweater and dark colored jeans.

The attack comes less than a week after a Hasidic child was attacked just a block away, breaking his nose as he was shoved to the ground. The suspect in that attack remains on the loose as well.

Anyone with information in regard to this incident is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477). The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the CrimeStoppers website at WWW.NYPDCRIMESTOPPERS.COM, on Twitter @NYPDTips or by texting their tips to 274637 (CRIMES) then enter TIP577. All calls are strictly confidential.
