WATCH: CNN’s Jim Acosta Says It’s “Patently Untrue” That Democrats Hate Jews

CNN’s Jim Acosta at today’s White House press briefing told Secretary Sarah Sanders that it’s “patently untrue” that Democrats hate Jewish people.

“Democrats don’t hate Jewish people. That’s just silly. It’s not true.”

The exchange came amidst the fallout to Rep. Ilhan Omar’s anti-Semitic comments and the Democrats less-than-adequate condemnation.

Sanders responded by saying it’s a shame that Democrats can’t call out anti-Semites by name, like Omar.

Acosta then suggests Trump thinks “there are very fine people” who are Nazis.

Before President Trump left the White House on Friday for his Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida, he said: “The Democrats have become an anti-Israel party. They’ve become an anti-Jewish party, and that’s too bad.”

Later in the day, Trump told Republican National Committee donors that Democrats “hate” Jewish people, according to a person who heard the remarks but spoke on condition of anonymity to describe the president’s comments at a private event.

  1. Of course dems hate Jews. Even the Jewish dems are self hating Jews. We didn’t need trump to tell us that we knew it all along. But Acosta is too dumb to see it

  2. Jim Acosta and the truth are nodding acquaintances.

Obviously not all Dems hate Jews, but a very large proportion do. And of those who don’t, the vast majority don’t see it as a big deal. About 40% of the delegates at recent Dem national conventions have been openly hostile to Israel. And we just saw how Pelosi’s plan to condemn Omar’s antisemitism collapsed because too many in the Dem caucus refused to go along. Sharpton is a regular and honored guest and powerbroker in the party, rather than ostracized as he would be in the GOP. The CBC openly consorts with Farrakhan. Keith Ellison was a dedicated NOI activist for more than a decade. Cynthia McKinney is thankfully gone, but her party never rejected her. Nor did it reject Jim Moran.

And no, Trump never suggested “there are very fine people” who are Nazis. That is a Democrat smear which Acosta is guilty of spreading, if not inventing.
