Anti-Semitic Attack in Buenos Aires on Friday Night

On Friday night, an person entered the Mikdash Yosef Shul in Palermo, Buenos Aires, and began threatening and attacking the mispallalim with a sharp object.

According to eyewitnesses, during the attack he also threw stones at the mispallalim and the guard. B’chasdei Hashem the attack ended with no casualties.

In addition, during the attack, the assailant threw oil on the floor, and several mispallalim fell at the entrance to the shul. The attacker shouted anti-Semitic slurs and curses against the Jews.

One of the neighbors sprayed tear gas in the attackers face, bringing the incident to an end.

It is reported that of late, there has been a sharp increase in anti-Semitic attacks in the kehilla, which accuses local police of not doing enough to prevent such attacks from occurring.

In the above-mentioned attack, police did arrive, in the assailant was arrested, only to be released by police a short time later.
