Agudath Israel of Illinois congratulates Mayor-elect Lori Lightfoot on her recent victory in Chicago�s mayoral runoff election.

As part of Agudath Israel�s advocacy and outreach efforts, both candidates were invited to meet with the organization.

Last Monday, April 1, in a visit organized by Agudath Israel, Ms. Lightfoot met with Jewish community leaders to discuss various issues of concern to the community. She demonstrated a keen understanding of the issues and a desire to work with Agudath Israel on addressing them.

Also in attendance was Alderman Debra Silverstein (50th Ward). The Mayor-elect pledged to keep open a direct line of communication and to continue cultivating a strong working relationship.

Agudath Israel looks forward to working with her and her administration for the benefit of Chicago�s Jewish community and all the residents of the City of Chicago.
