WATCH THE BODY-CAM FOOTAGE: Rayshard Brooks Grabs Taser From Atlanta Officer, Is Shot Dead And Then Riots

ATLANTA — Bodycam footage has been released from the Rayshard Brooks shooting, and the scenario is not what the mainstream media and Black Lives Matter is telling you.

The footage shows Brooks passed out in the driver’s seat of his vehicle, at 10:33 p.m. Friday, blocking the Wendy’s drive-thru off University Ave near I-75/85, according to WXIA.

Officer Devin Bronsan is seen banging on the window and eventually opening the door to check on the unresponsive Brooks.

After awakening him, Bronson tells Brooks to move his car and park legally, but Bronson smelled alcohol from Brooks and decided to investigate further.

Brooks then admits to drinking, and Officer Garrett Rolfe arrives on the scene and gave Brooks a breathalyzer – which showed a reading of .108% BAC, which is above the legal limit.

Brooks is then told he is under arrest, and immediately begins fighting when officers who were attempting to place him in handcuffs. He managed to grab one of the officer’s tasers after the officer removed it to use it on him.

He starts running with the Taser in his hand with Officer Rolfe in hot pursuit.

Surveillance video shows that Brooks turned over his shoulder and fired the taser at Officer Rolfe.

That’s when Rolfe discharged his service weapon.

Officer Rolfe was subsequently fired, and Officer Bronson was placed on administrative leave. Brooks was later pronounced dead.

  1. Since Mr. Brooks HY’D was sleeping & not driving when his alcohol level was up, Mr Brooks HY’D was not breaking any law nor endangering anyone, hence Rolfe is a full fledged murderer, and deserves to be fired, and must go to prison for life without any possibility of parole. Until Bronson & Rolfe arrested him just to get their quota of arrests, it was a totally peaceful situation, and again 2 white policemen are glorifying in having murdered an innocent black man, and MUST be held accountable. Rolfe & Bronson must pay back Wendy out of their own money for all the damage.

  2. Officer Rolfe should be reinstated immediately, offered a raise and a promotion, and the crooked MSM should publicly confess to their vicious crime that caused the riots. This officer is a hero, and should be commended for his bravery.

  3. The value of a Yeshiva Education:
Rayshard Brooks Grabs Taser From Atlanta Officer, Is Shot Dead And Then Riots……….If he’s dead how does he riot? Take an ESL course before you write these dumb headlines.

  4. Very sad accident…
Seems the police officers acted with great courtesy and maybe got carried away, pumped with adrenaline and after the experience of being tased.
On the other hand, the video doesn’t show the need for Brooks to have been shot.
He was a drunk guy running with a non lethal taser. Probably would have passed out in the next five minutes after which they could have scooped him up and gave me a drunk driving charge or whatever…
Lmaaseh it’s min hashamayim and didn’t just randomly happen in the middle of all this nonesense..

  5. THE POLICE OFFFICER WAS JUST DOING HIS JOB.THE COLOUR OF THE CRIMINAL HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH IT.HE WAS FIRED UNLAWFULLY FOR POLITICAL REASONS.
THE RIOTING AND BURNING SAYS IT ALL ABOUT BLACK LIVES MATTER – ANARCHISTS, ORGANISED BY POLITICAL TERRORISTS.

  6. part of the problem is this policy of cuffing everyone, people naturally resist having their hands bound but the us police insist on cuffing everyone
the cops were pretty professional but this guy didn’t want the cuffs so he ran and that led to everything else

  7. interesting to see the video, but the truth is that Rayshard Brooks was not only resisting arrest but took the taser gun and used it on the police. I think the shooting was justified.

Blacks should learn what is proper behavior, what is the law and not to blame whitey for their own faults…..

  8. Don’t confuse everyone with facts. Regardless of the facts, if a white officer kills a black guy who’s shooting a taser at the officer, then that is reason enough to fire the police officer, convince a scared white lady police chief to resign, and to have rioting, including burning down the food establishment where he was shot.
    Upside-down USA.

  9. He was intoxicated and grabbed a non-lethal weapon. This is probably enough to allow the policeman to avoid conviction of a crime, but suggest poor judgement (which is not a crime, though it may be grounds for discipline).

  10. I generally don’t like judging police but the officer is a full-fledged murderer. Just because someone grabs a nonlethal weapon is not a reason to shoot them in the back while they are running away… He will be prosecuted and will probably sit in jail where he rightfully belongs.

  11. The liberal idiots calling for police to undergo sensitivity training, or whatever they call it, are fools.
Rather call for the lowly masses to be educated not to: Resist arrest, fight a law-enforcement officer, flee from a cop, and certainly not to take his weapons and use them against him!
Whether what the cop did was right or wrong (and certainly whether or not it was racially motivated or not), the first point to address is how this civilian behaved.

  12. Suggestion:
All cops should resign from their jobs!
Let’s see what happens to this crazy idea of having pity on ppl resisting those that WE have employed to protect US!
No law abiding citizen has any problem with the police. We are thankful for the fact that they are around and answer our calls for protection.

  13. where does the race factor come in here exactly? he didnt call him anything racial or say anything racist at all, was doing his job, and was defending himselffrom this animal. one less criminal on the street. thank you for doing your job and keeping the streets clea. if the criminal would be white, it would be the same result, or if the cop would be black it would also be the same result. these riots are just run by criminals who are trying to get away with any excuse to rob people and damage property. if they dont like the justice system which is equal to everyone, they are welcome to go somewhere else, try north korea, see how much rights you have over there.

  14. @147 I’ll assume you’re being sarcastic.

“Mr Brooks…was not breaking any law…”
Sitting in the driver seat with the engine running is more than enough for DWI.

    “… nor endangering anyone”
Maybe at that moment, but you wouldn’t have wanted to be anywhere in the area if/when he decided that he’s ‘sober enough’ to drive home.

  15. Once they already had his ID and car, there was no use in chasing after him, let alone to shoot him. They could have let him run away and then catch him later.

  16. I saw a live interview with an ex lieutenant from NYPD who is black and according to him they followed procedure. All was well till they tried to cuff him on a DWI. As soon as he resisted and punched the officer and disarmed him it became a FELONY which they have to act. Now when he turned around and fired at police with the Taser, if he is between 15-25 feet which was the case here it is considered lethal. If the taser would’ve made contact and the officer would be incapacitated he could now take his firearm and we have a firefight between the felon and other officer. Many bystanders could’ve gotten killed. According to him the officer wasn’t given due process and was fired illegally. My suggestion they should always call for a black officer or whatever culture the person is, like they call female officers to pat down woman. My other suggestion they should close down all police forces including FBI and create 1 police force per state. Example USA Police NY Division, USA Police LA division.

The same groups who complain the loudest about police shootings are the same groups who designate tasers as (at best) “less-lethal” (than a gun) rather than “non-lethal”. “Reuters has documented a total of at least 1,081 U.S. deaths following use of police Tasers” and “they are conducting reviews of their Taser policies” and ” to largely limit its use to cases where a suspect is a danger to others, the officer or themselves” In other words, they are drafting restrictions almost as strict an actual gun. San Francisco Board of Supervisors have banned tasers (for police).
