Swiss Experts: Arafat Was Poisoned with Radioactive Polonium

arafatSwiss toxicologists and radiation experts have revealed that they have found traces of polonium on the clothing of former PA (Palestinian Authority) leader Yasser Arafat. They explain this adds weight to those who posit the late arch terrorist was poisoned to death in 2004 while in France. Their findings were published in the prestigious British medical journal ‘Lancet’.

According to a The Times of India report based on the medical publication, the deadly substance can enter one’s body via food or drink or even inhalation and only an extremely limited amount is required, citing “a speck of pepper’ as being sufficient.

The scientists are now reporting Arafat died of ingesting polonium, basing their report on taking 75 samples, including 38 from Arafat’s clothing.

The cause of death in his medical records is listed as a stroke. There was no autopsy performed on Arafat following his death in the French hospital in line with his wife’s request. Later, PA officials alleged he had been poisoned by Israel.
