Shocking Petira of Dr. Shmuel Eliezer (Steve) Krauss Z”L, Legendary 5 Towns Dentist, Baal Chessed, Hatzalah Paramedic

YWN regrets to inform you of the petirah of Dr. Shmuel Eliezer (Steven) Hakohen Krauss Z”L, a legendary 5 Towns pediatric dentist and tremendous baal chessed. He was just 63.

Dr. Krauss was a beloved figure in his community whose under-the-radar chessed assisted hundreds of people without any acclaim for himself.

“He provided free dentistry needs to an untold number of people without the means to pay, refused to bill others he knew couldn’t pay, and made himself available night and day – on any day – for emergencies,” a community askan told YWN.

In addition to being a renowned dentist, Dr. Krauss served as a paramedic on Far Rockaway Hatzalah (known as “RL-76”) for over two decades, and was a tremendous baal tzedakah whose giving knew no bounds or limits.

“If someone needed help, he was there,” a community member said.

Dr Krauss called Hatzalah on Shabbos to have him taken to the hospital after not feeling well. Tragically, he had a cardiac arrest and was Niftar leaving his community, friends and family stunned and shocked.

Levaya details will be published when available.

Yehi zichro baruch.

  1. Terrible news, BDE. My son was born in a Hatzalah ambulance on the way to the hospital on the morning of Simchas Torah in 2005. He was one of the EMT’s who delivered him. What a terrible loss. May the family know no more sorrows.

  2. BDE. Hashem Yerachem. Is there a way someone can put together a google document containing the names of people who have died ‘suddenly at the age of 63″ in the past two years? It’s like happening again and again. No conspiracy theory. Just stating a fact.

  3. @sickofidiots
SADS are mostly of some for of heart failure, Lo Aleinu. I personally know of at least 10 healthy slim people under 70. No one wishes to raise awareness for fear of connecting the dots R”L.

  4. Dr. K was my kid’s dentist. Very compassionate and special soul. What a tremendous loss to the community. I hope his family can find some of the comfort that he was able to provide to others.

  5. Hi why was my comment not put through? – Id like to know if he was vaccinated and boosted.

We need to understand why these things are happening!

  6. This is so incredibly sad and heartbreaking. He was the most amazing person and dentist.
At what point will it be okay to talk about why this keeps happening and perhaps save lives? Or is it more important to be “respectful” and not talk about the obvious, thereby causing more people to suffer needlessly?

  7. I live in Israel , but I remember a year ago viewing a video by many Rabbonim of Five Towns/Far Rockaway urging people to get the shot. It didn’t make sense to me as already we saw that the heart attack rate was way up since the shot was introduced. We also knew a lot more about highly successful early treatments by that time. Now we know that since the shot was introduced there has been a 20% increase in heart attacks for this age group (the percentage higher for younger people is even higher than that) BDE

  8. Covid-19 has been linked to higher rates of sudden cardiac death, but a group of fools here would rather twist that around to smear a life saving vaccine.
    Perhaps covid-19 also cognitive function.

  9. chareidi > Perhaps covid-19 also cognitive function.

unfortunately, it does. Hopefully, as physical effect, some of that can be restored with time.

One paper studying 2020 (pre-vaccine) severe covid cases measured average IQ drop of 10 (that is, one SD – standard deviation).

Another paper measured loss on a variety of cognitive tasks as:
0.45 SD for ventilated, 0.25 SD for severe non-ventilated, 0.15 for those medically assisted at home,
0.08 for those with respiratory symptoms, 0.04 for non-respiratory symptoms only.

to understand the scale of it, the paper mentions that 0.45 SD is about 7 loss in IQ, is more than 10-year mental decline, and 2x more than after a stroke.

  10. Chareidi amiti, maybe you should read up on the British Dr. Aseem Malhotra, who is a cardiologist who used to be very supportive and in favor of the Covid shots, until his very own father suddenly died from a heart attack. In a peer-reviewed article published in the Journal of Insulin Resistance, Dr. Aseem Malhotra called for the immediate end of the COVID-19 vaccine rollout and the “pandemic of misinformation on COVID-19 mRNA vaccines.” There are many more experts that are speaking up and out against those death shots, but I thought you might be more interested in hearing it from someone who used to believe in it. All the best!!

  11. Gab, he probably was. Remember the mandates? He was a Dentist and a Hatzalah paramedic. All medical staff was the first to be targeted. Sad that YWN is censoring comments that could help wake people up. It’s pikuach nefesh, because many are afraid to speak up.

  12. @chareidi amiti

The UK’s top Cardiologist Dr. Aseem Malhotra who once staunchly promoted c19 mRNA shots on TV, now has full charata. He now claims so publicly and that Pfizer booster killed his perfectly healthy father. He says he does NOT buy the c19 alone is responsible for all the SADS cases.

I however happen to agree with you the spike protein (inhaled or injected) is linked to heart complications and that it affects neurological & cognitive function. Perhaps this led many to pile on unnecessary risk.

  13. jpa, the amount of spike protein in the jabs, is way beyond what a person can possibly inhale. Especially since it is known that once the S-protein is injected, it keeps producing and re-producing with no switch-off function. And, I haven’t even mentioned yet the strange hydra-like-looking organisms or the self-assembling nanoparticles, that were discovered in various labs around the world by doctors looking at those batches under a microscope.

  14. Watchful, thanks for a reference. I just read this article by Dr. Malhotra. Besides the personal story, he goes through multiple references and raises lots of questions (was that biased? and was that sufficient?). The article does not bring any original argument or any meta-analysis. He refers to multiple articles in his paper. So, if you think that any of those references bring some hard evidence against vaccines, please point out to one.

  15. By the way, Dr. Malhotra published a 2020 paper saying that poor metabolic health is the greatest risk factor for COVID. He suggests eating more vegies and exercise. Hope his fans here are following this advice.

  16. Just Released in the journal Vaccines 2022, 10(10), 1651; https://doi.org/10.3390/vaccines10101651 (registering DOI), A Case Report: Multifocal Necrotizing Encephalitis and Myocarditis after BNT162b2 mRNA Vaccination against COVID-19:

“Surprisingly, only spike protein but no nucleocapsid protein could be detected within the foci of inflammation in both the brain and the heart, particularly in the endothelial cells of small blood vessels. Since no nucleocapsid protein could be detected, the presence of spike protein must be ascribed to vaccination rather than to viral infection. The findings corroborate previous reports of encephalitis and myocarditis caused by gene-based COVID-19 vaccines.”

^^^^ The findings corroborate previous reports of encephalitis and myocarditis caused by gene-based COVID-19 vaccines.

  17. You guys need to coordinate better with each other: one quotes article saying that vaccinations undoubtfully helped older people but might have risk for younger ones. Another one – discusses one older patient who might have gotten spike protein over his body without having covid. Is this contradicting the first article?

Or maybe you can ponder that without the vaccine this person in the two years in an institution would have gotten spike protein from covid by this time?

Anyway, UK and Israel have full databases of statistics of effects on different types of population over last years. If you are still looking to justify why you made your grandma or your Rebbe sick, you should look at the papers based on that solid population statistics

  18. BH I have a seasoned GP (albeit near retiring) who clearly has more Yiras Shomayim than the fear of loosing his MD license. He initially (=>delta) never recommended these new jabs to anyone healthy under 30. Thereafter he doesn’t recommend them to anyone, as he’s seen they do more harm than good. (He took c19 pretty seriously even to the extent he recommended women to hold off pregnancy for a year in 2020.)

I think it’s good that people are openly discussing this taboo/cringy subject. May this be l’toeles to save someone’s life and Dr. Krauss’ neshama have an Aliya. My Hashem listen to our tefilos and accept our repentance.

  19. YWN, why have you taken down two of my posts? Do you have a problem with emes?

Moderators Response: We took them down, because there is an Almanah and a grieving family reading your hateful posts. It’s disgusting how heartless a person can be. Instead of hiding behind your screenname, why don’t you go to this almanah and tell this to her face.

Shame on you. You are a horrible human being, if you are even that. At best a Rasha. Nothing less. Do teshuva. It’s Erev Yom Kippur. Utterly disgusting. We should out you publicly.

  20. You are right, I have not thought about that the Almanah and the family may be reading this. I apologize for my insensitivity.
