“GLOBALIST RINO”: Trump Attacks DeSantis AGAIN as Polls Show Florida Gov. Beating Him

In his flailing attempts to shut down Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis’ presidential campaign before it even begins, former President Donald Trump swung at the popular conservative governor, calling him a “globalist RINO.”

The broadside first began on Tuesday evening when Trump posted a snipped clip of DeSantis saying about five years ago that he could be “like Paul Ryan” on the national stage.

Over the weekend, Trump also accused DeSantis of being “disloyal” for even thinking about running for president in 2024 and attacked him for “attempting to rewrite history” about his Covid-19 leadership.

When asked about Trump’s attacks, DeSantis took the high road, saying that the voters had made it clear that they liked the way he led his state, at the same time implying that voters didn’t like Trump’s leadership and dumped him in the 2020 election.

The Florida governor’s comments appeared to have angered Trump, possibly because he is refusing to fight back; when fights turn into a mudslinging show, Trump always comes out on top, but DeSantis is refusing to take the bait.

“Remember, I was 233-20 in the Midterms, and got 1.2 Million Votes MORE than Ron DeSanctimonious in the Great State of Florida. Also, 12 Million MORE Votes in 2020 than in 2016, and Won!” Trump wrote late Tuesday night.

He then went on a spree of “retruthing” posts critical of DeSantis, adding in his own: “The real Ron is a RINO GLOBALIST, who closed quickly down Florida and even its beaches. Loved the Vaccines and wasted big money on “Testing.””

Interestingly, the lockdowns and the vaccines all happened while Trump was president, and in fact, Trump has always been very supportive of the vaccines, even stating repeatedly that his Operation Warp Speed to develop it may have saved 100 million lives. But now he’s attacking DeSantis over supporting the vaccines too? Okay.

A new poll from University of New Hampshire Survey Center poll finds that DeSantis is leading Trump nationally by 12 percentage points.

  1. Even though I am obviously not a big Trump fan, its really sad to see someone in such rapid decline. Hopefully, his family will intervene and spare him from further embarrassment.

  2. They gave up on him. Poor ole geezer. Screaming and wailing. No self respect. But still wishes others to respect him. Sad sad sad.
I reiterate “hakinah hataiva vehakovod moitzien es ho’odom min haolom”

  3. Trump is leading in most polls. Fact. Doesn’t make him smart making a fool of himself. But republicans also like to ruin it for themselves by not sticking together. We will see by the dems if anyone runs against Biden.

  4. Trump may not be able to control , as you state, I haven’t had the privilege of visual …….however…..the only foulness in this world is Biden, Obama his husband Michael and Soros…..Musk is running close to a third….

  5. Gadolhadorah you are very happy to see this happen to him I doubt you understand empathy. You support a party that supports abortion.end of story

  6. SaraRifka. Your own FOUL mouth regarding individuals whom you’ve never met and disagree with is only exceeded by your ignorance of American Politics. Please spare us your repeated ignorant rants.

  7. Trump has a problem being opposed to “Globalism” since the alternative to “Globalism” is “Isolationism”. The Democrats went to great lengths (e.g. the forged portfolio, which their leaders endorsed and in some cases still claim to be true even after it was acknowledged as a forgery) to argue the Trump was an isolationist and a friend/stooge/ally of Putin. It is clearly not in Trump’s interests to go around saying “Vote for me, I’ll surrender Ukraine (and Europe, and who knows what else) to my good friends in the Kremlin” yet by claiming to be opposed to “globalism” that is exactly what he is doing.
