This Sunday: PBBS Hosts Annual Community Precincts Showcase

f1.jpgThis Sunday will be the NYPD Brooklyn South Community / Precinct Unity Showcase in Prospect Park. The annual event includes showcases from all 13 Precincts within the jurisdiction of Brooklyn South – all under the leadership of the Honorable Assistant Chief Joseph Fox.

With the weather forecast calling for magnificent 84 degree spring weather, this years event is sure to be a big hit.

Children – and adults – will have an opportunity to see many interesting items on display from each precinct, including showcases by the FDNY, Hatzolah, Shomrim, Chaveirim, and of course various Special Units from the NYPD not often seen. Attendees will have an opportunity to meet with their local precinct officers – and many commanding officers are scheduled to attend as well. Although YWN has not confirmed it, the Police Commissioner has attended this event in previous years.

There will be entertainment, games and Kosher refreshments for both children and adults.

Chief Fox tells YWN that attendees will be able to “catch a glimpse of the entire world right here in Brooklyn.”

The event is held at Prospect Park West at 15th Street, from 11AM – 5PM, Sunday, April 26, 2009.
