VIDEO LINK BELOW: Major Malik Nadal Hasan, the US army officer alleged to have gone on on a shooting spree at a military base in Texas, is alive but wounded, officials have said.
The announcement came hours after it was reported that Maj Hasan had been shot dead by the authorities after he allegedly walked into a training center and opened fire on fellow soldiers who were having last minute medical check-ups before being deployed to Afghanistan.
Maj Hasan was in custody and was in a stable condition, Lt. Gen. Bob Cone said.
Lt Gen Cone offered little explanation to reporters at a news conference as to why the suspect was believed dead, saying only there was confusion at the hospital.
The massacre took place at the sprawling Fort Hood base, the largest American military installation in the world. It is not clear if the attack was an act of political terrorism.
Ten of the victims were soldiers and one was a civilian police officer. Two other injured soldiers were in a “very serious” condition in hospital.
Gun fire later erupted around the base as two alleged accomplices, also US soldiers, were captured and police said there may have been more than one gunman.
One of them had barricaded himself in a traumatic brain injury unit where he was surrounded by SWAT teams. Four police officers were wounded before he was arrested.

He’s alive? Actually that might be a good thing. Now he can be tortured instead of dying right away. However, good ole America won’t torture him, they’ll give him a fair trial. Innocent until proven guilty – right?

Rats, now our tax dollars will go to keep this guy alive in jail, because, if he is publicly executed, he becomes a martyr.

I hope that he is severely disabled and will live a natural lifespan in a completely helpless state, with his mind intact but no bodily functions.
That is better justice than even the execution that the military court will probably sentence him to if he is well enough to stand trial.
The base commander at Fort Hood says soldiers who witnessed a shooting rampage that left 13 people dead reported that the gunman shouted “Allahu Akbar!” before opening fire at the Texas post.
Now they will put him in trial and the liars from legal department of the Council American Islamic Relations will defend him and blame his stress on the U.S. But, they would never put this guy in a military tribunal.
Too bad he wasn’t killed at the scene. Someone needs to go back to target practice.
#7 Sounds good to me. Just one thing – yes his mind should be intact, but not enough to mastermind another shooting by using other muslims to do the dirty work. These guys don’t give up even if they are disabled, or in prison. They must fight their “religious war” – chas v’shalom.

Internment camps are for this exact purpose! To clearly define the enemy. During WWII I don’t remember the Japanese doing anything like THIS, the shoe bomber, the DC Sniper, the muslim who shot up the El-Al terminal in LAX… I can go on and on in actuality there where 31 ACTS OF TERROR BY MUSLIMS ON U.S. SOIL SINCE 9/11. I guess the internment camps must’ve worked for us back then doncha think?
