Lakewood Family Escapes Blaze Unharmed On Yom Kippur Night

A structure fire heavily damaged a home on Yom Kippur night, TLS reports. At about 11:30 PM, police and firefighters arrived to a home on Arlington Avenue to find the 2nd floor and attic of the home engulfed in flames, and hit out for a General Alarm. 6 people were home at the time of the fire, but they all made it out uninjured, Fire Chief Rodney Youmans said.

The Fire Department battled the blaze for about 45 minutes, with the assistance of Herbertsville Fire Department.

The Fire Marshal’s office is investigating the cause of the fire.
