Major Strike Looming in Israel for Monday Morning

Unless a last-minute agreement is reached between the Histadrut National Labor Federation and the state, a nationwide general sector strike will be launched on Monday morning, 10 Cheshvan. This will be an open-ended strike which will begin at 6:00am.
Such a strike will bring the nation to its knees. Hospitals will move to Shabbat schedule, which means outpatient clinics will be closed and all non-emergency surgeries and other procedures will be canceled.
All train and bus service will halt, including Dan and Egged lines. The ports will also shut totally, including the seaports of Ashdod and Haifa, as well as Ben-Gurion International Airport, bringing all incoming and outgoing flights to a total halt. Government offices and banks will be closed and schools will be operating, but a reminder, there will be no buses.
Additional reports on the strike threat to follow.

  1. Totally disgusting! This is the problem with a socialist government. These things should all be privatized, and then they can’t bring the country to its knees! For what purpose?? The balagan that will result is unimaginable!
